What to Ask Your Doctor or Healthcare Provider
- Do you take Medicare?
- Are you currently accepting new Medicare patients? If so, on what plans?
- Do you take any Medicare Advantage plans? If so, which ones?
- In your experience, which type of coverage is better for patient care?
- Have you or your practice had billing, prior authorization, or care denial issues with Medicare Advantage or Traditional Medicare?
- Based on my health needs, which Medicare plan would you recommend?
- Will I need referrals for any of the plans I am considering?
If you travel outside your Medicare Advantage plan’s network, non-emergency or non-urgent care may not be covered and could be denied for payment.
